KUNSTHAUS ESSEN e.V.

In 1986, the Kunsthaus moved to its current premises at 33 Rübezahlstraße in Essen Rellinghausen, originally a school, built in 1933 for the Wilhelm-Gottfried-Kolonie, a miners colony. The classrooms were converted into artist studios, the upper floor into a gallery space, and a café was set up on the ground floor.

THE VIRTUAL LAB

In 2022, as part of our project "The Virtual Lab" for Kulturgemeinschaften, we scanned several cultural spaces in the Ruhr Area and started our dive into the realm of mixed reality content production. Resulting in several exhibits, workshops, and even little video game sketches in unreal engine.
In 2023, we transformed all this footage into a Short Fulldome Showreel to showcase the artistic possibilities beyond 3D Scan to BIM files. CHECK HERE!
